Why is the red-crowned parrot endangered?

Habitat loss: The main threat to red-crowned parrots is habitat loss. Their native forest habitats are being cleared for logging, agriculture, and human settlements. This loss of habitat reduces their food and nesting resources and makes them vulnerable to predators.

Trapping: Red-crowned parrots are also captured for the illegal pet trade. This trade reduces the wild population and disrupts their social structures.

Climate change: Climate change is also affecting the red-crowned parrot's habitat. Rising temperatures and changes in rainfall patterns are altering the forest ecosystem, making it less suitable for the parrots.
