How long have parrots been around for?
The earliest known parrot fossils date back to the Eocene epoch, around 50 million years ago. These fossils were found in Europe, and they suggest that parrots originated in this part of the world. Over time, parrots spread to other parts of the globe, including Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Today, there are over 350 species of parrots, and they can be found in a variety of habitats, from rainforests to deserts.
