How to Make Homemade Parrot Food
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the muffin mix, water and crushed eggs. Mix thoroughly.
Mix almonds, buckwheat and barley together to make half a cup to add to the muffin mix. You can substitute, add or remove nuts depending on your parrot's preference.
Combine chopped-up broccoli, yams, carrots, raisins and apricots, adding one cup to the mix. Substitute fruits and vegetables based on availability. The ones mentioned here are recommended for their high nutritional content.
The mix will be lumpy and colorful, a consistency your parrot will love. Place in the baking pan and cook for 1/2 hour. Allow it to cool before serving.
