Critically Endangered (CR) is the highest category of threat assigned by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. It is used for species that are facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.

* Criteria:

* A population reduction of at least 90% over the last 10 years or three generations.

* A population of less than 50 individuals.

* A population confined to a single location and facing a high risk of extinction.
