How do sloths get their camouflage?
Sloths do not have camouflage; their primary defense mechanism is their slow movement and cryptic coloration, which helps them blend in with their surroundings and avoid predators. Sloths also grow algae and fungus on their fur, which helps them blend in with the foliage of their habitat. However, this coloration is not strictly for camouflage purposes; it also provides the sloths with some protection from the sun, rain, and humidity of the rainforest.
