How far can an eagle fly?

The maximum recorded non-stop migration flight by a bald eagle was 3,988 km (2,478 miles) over a period of 37 days. For most daily flights, bald eagles average under 50 miles during non-migratory months and around 150 miles per day while migrating. Golden eagles typically cover up to 100 miles but can range up to about 400 miles per day on migration. White-tailed eagles have flown between 498.8 (310 miles) and 1,751.1 km (1088 miles) on non-stop migratory flights which take several weeks.
