Baby birds are often found in the late spring and summer by well-intentioned rescuers. Some are fledglings that need a little extra help getting to a small branch in a bush or tree nearby to await parental help. Nestlings, on the other hand, cannot grasp a finger or shrub and should be returned to the nest if at all possible. If this is not possible, try and double-check that you have indeed found a baby robin. Different species eat different foods and can die from unaccustomed meals. Compared to all this, finding the worms is the easy part.
