Make a temporary baby bird formula by mashing a hard boiled egg yolk with 1/3 cup wet dog food.

    • 2

Hold the bird with your hand over its back and wings, tilting its head back gently until its mouth opens. The bird will gape its mouth open, looking for food.

Dip the end of a child's paint brush into the formula to gather a small amount. Feed the bird by placing the food at the back of its throat. Continue to feed until the bird stops gaping for more.
