Things You'll Need
- 1 1/2 oatmeal
- 2 cups chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup squash seeds
- 1/2 cup dried watermelon seeds
- Peanut butter (optional)
- Corn cob or pine cone
Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients. Pour them into a food processor or coffee bean grinder.
Process the ingredients together for a few seconds to form a fine texture, yet avoid grinding into too fine of a powder.
Pour the bird feed in an air-tight container to store and use as needed. The bird feed should stay fresh for several months if stored properly.
Add the seed to your feeder, or make a homemade bird feeder for your pet or yard birds. You can use a dried corn cob or pine cone. Roll the cob or pine cone in peanut butter. Hang from a tree or dangle in the cage.
