Instructions

    • 1

Gather the food you will need to feed the pigeons. You can purchase peas, pellets and sorghum. If you have a pet pigeon, you should feed him about 500 grams of grain per week.

    • 2

Find a good location to feed wild pigeons. This would include parks, places near water (as pigeons love to bathe in water year-round) and more famously, anywhere in New York City, as long as you don't get caught.

    • 3

Put the food out where the pigeons can easily find it. One of the better ways to put the food out is to make a small pile that the birds can feast on, as opposed to spreading the food out in a large location.

    • 4

Provide water for the birds. Water is as important as food. The birds will drink the water and also use it to cleanse themselves and play in.

    • 5

Feed birds regularly. You can make it a weekly trip with your children or do it after a morning stroll.
