Instructions

    • 1

Cover your working area with old newspapers and have your supplies at the ready.

    • 2

Fill a pie tin or shallow baking dish with birdseed.

    • 3

Twist the midsection of a red or green pipe cleaner around the stem of each pine cone and pull the two ends out straight.

    • 4

Use a spoon to carefully cover the pine cones with creamy peanut butter (about 2 tablespoons per cone).

    • 5

Roll the pine cones around in the birdseed until they're completely covered.

    • 6

Set the finished products on newspaper until you have coated each pine cone.

    • 7

Hang the ornaments by twisting the pipe cleaner ends around branches of a tree.

    • 8

Sit back and watch the birds flock to your yard.
