What do danselflies eat?

Damselflies are predatory insects, and their diet consists mainly of other insects, such as flies, mosquitoes, midges, and other small flying insects. They are also known to prey on butterflies, moths, and other damselflies. Damselflies are ambush predators, meaning they wait for their prey to come close before they strike. They use their long legs to catch their prey and then use their sharp mandibles to crush the prey's body. Damselflies are also known to feed on nectar and pollen, but this is a supplementary part of their diet.
