How to Feed Birds Ground Flaxseed

The flax plant produces tiny flax seeds. These seeds contain high amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that provide several health benefits. In birds, they reduce hypertension and increase the production of antibodies. However, birds usually ignore the whole flax seeds contained in their food mixes. Fortunately, you can combat this problem by feeding them ground flaxseed. It is less conspicuous and easily absorbed.
