When and where does an albatross lay its eggs?
Albatrosses lay their eggs in nests on remote islands, typically in the Southern Ocean. They usually build their nests on the ground or in low vegetation, and they lay one or two eggs per clutch. The eggs are incubated by both parents, and they hatch after about 60-80 days. The chicks are then fed by their parents until they are able to fly, which usually takes about 6-10 months.
