What do Pelagics eat?
Pelagic fish are carnivores and feed primarily on other fish, squid, and crustaceans. Some species of pelagic fish, such as tuna and mackerel, are known to be predators of other large fish, such as sardines and anchovies. Other species, such as dolphins and porpoises, feed on a variety of prey, including smaller fish, squid, and krill. Pelagic fish are also known to scavenge on marine mammal and seabird carcasses.
