Why do doves eat off of the ground?
Doves do not exclusively eat from the ground. They are actually versatile feeders and can eat a variety of foods from various locations. Doves are known to feed from bird feeders, trees, shrubs, and other elevated locations. While they may occasionally pick up food items from the ground, it's not a primary source of their diet.
