What to feed baby ducks?

Ducklings require a nutritionally complete diet in order to grow and develop properly. The ideal diet for ducklings is a high-quality commercial waterfowl starter feed. This type of feed is formulated to meet the specific nutritional needs of young ducks, providing them with the proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals they need for optimal growth. You should also provide them with access to plenty of fresh, clean water. If you are not able to find commercial waterfowl starter feed, you can make your own duckling feed using the following recipe:

Ingredients:

- 1 cup cornmeal

- 1 cup wheat bran

- 1/2 cup soybean meal

- 1/4 cup dried milk powder

- 2 tablespoons fish meal

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

- 1 teaspoon calcium supplement

- 1 teaspoon vitamin premix

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients.

2. Mix well until all of the ingredients are combined.

3. Store the duckling feed in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

To feed ducklings, simply offer them as much of the feed as they can eat in a day. You should divide the feed into several small feedings throughout the day, as ducklings have small stomachs and cannot eat large amounts of food at one time.
