What do snowly owl eat?

Snowy owls are carnivores and their diet primarily consists of small mammals, such as lemmings, voles, mice, and rabbits. They also hunt larger prey such as grouse, ptarmigan, waterfowl, and even fish. Snowy owls have excellent hearing and eyesight, which helps them locate prey in their snowy environment. They typically hunt during the daytime and use their keen vision to spot prey from a distance. Once they locate their target, they swoop down and capture it with their powerful talons.
