When can baby ducks be placed outside?
Baby ducks can be placed outside once they have properly developed their feathers which generally takes around 6 weeks. At around 6 weeks of age, ducks will have waterproof feathers that will protect them from the elements and they have gained enough strength and independence to be able to adapt to the outdoor environment. However it's important to note that weather conditions should still be considered and any sudden temperature drops or severe weather should prompt bringing them back inside temporarily until the weather improves.
