Do crows or jays eat other birds?

Both crows and jays are known to be omnivorous birds, meaning that they consume a variety of plant and animal matter. In many instances, both birds have been witnessed engaging in predatory behavior when it comes to obtaining food. They may consume any small birds, and occasionally, they take eggs from nests to eat if no alternative means of prey are available.

It should be noted that while both can feed on these, in most observed circumstances, such behavior was predominantly exhibited through carrion. This is to say that the crows or jays most usually scavenged remains of birds already deceased for feeding than outright predation to hunt or kill small birds.
