1. Use a pair of tweezers to carefully remove each pellet from the quail's body. This is the safest method as it minimizes the risk of damaging the meat.
2. If the birdshot is embedded deeply in the meat, you can use a small knife to carefully cut around the pellet and remove it. Be very careful not to cut the meat itself.
Once you have removed all of the birdshot, rinse the quail thoroughly in cold water and pat dry.
