Why do turkeys heads change color?
The head of a turkey changes color due to changes in blood flow and oxygen levels. When a turkey is relaxed, its head will be a light red or pink color. However, when the turkey is excited or aggressive, its head will turn a deep red or even bluish color. This is because the turkey's body releases adrenaline, which causes the blood vessels in its head to dilate, allowing more blood to flow through them.
