Are wild birds healthy to touch?
In general, it's not advisable to touch wild birds. They can carry various diseases and parasites that are transmissible to humans. Some of the diseases that can be transmitted from birds to humans include salmonella, E. coli, and avian flu. Additionally, handling wild birds can cause stress and disturb their natural behavior. If you must handle a wild bird, wear protective gloves to reduce the risk of disease transmission and maintain a safe distance.
