African Grey Facts

The African Grey's reputation as an excellent talker makes it one of the most popular pet parrots. Technically, parrots don't talk; they mimic sounds and voices. The African Grey, however, appears to take that talent one step beyond other parrots. They seem to know the right thing to say in a conversation, making pet owners believe this bird understands the ideas behind the spoken word. While that point may not be fully verifiable, it is a fact that these parrots are highly intelligent.
