Can owls fly for a long time?
Owls are well-adapted for flying long distances during their nightly hunts. They have large, powerful wings and streamlined bodies that help them achieve efficient, sustained flight. Some owl species, such as the Snowy Owl, are known to cover hundreds of miles during their winter migrations. During such flights, owls can reach average speeds of 20 to 30 miles per hour (32 to 48 kilometers per hour) and can maintain the flight for prolonged periods. Some species have been recorded to fly continuously for 15-20 hours or more during extended foraging excursions. While the exact maximum distance an owl can cover in a single flight may vary by species and individual factors, most large owl species are more than capable of undertaking epic journeys
