How do you tell how old your parakeets is?

Age:

- Less than 6 months: Bright yellow cere for hens and bright blue or violet for cocks.

- 6-10 months: Cere coloration starts to fade, but still has traces. Tail feathers appear longer.

- 10-18 months: Cere loses most of its coloration. Hens will show a very pale white or skin-colored cere, and cocks will display a slightly less vibrant shade of blue.

- Over 18 months: White or brownish, crusty cere.
