How many young do barn owls have?

The number of young that barn owls have can vary depending on the specific owl and its geographical location, as well as food availability. In general, a barn owl pair may lay anything from two to seven eggs. However, on average, barn owls tend to lay three to five eggs per clutch. These eggs are typically incubated for a period of around 26-28 days before they hatch. After hatching, both the male and female parent take turns providing food and caring for the owlets until they are able to fledge (grow flight feathers and become independent).
