Why is a hawk trophic omnivore?
A hawk is not a trophic omnivore. Hawks are carnivorous birds of prey that primarily hunt and consume small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. While some species of hawks may occasionally feed on plant material, such as fruits or berries, this does not make them trophic omnivores. Trophic omnivores are organisms that occupy an intermediate position in a food web, consuming a mix of both plant and animal matter.
