Do Bald eagles roost with Golden eagles?

Bald eagles and Golden eagles typically do not roost with each other. Although both species are large raptors, they have different habitat preferences and hunting strategies.

* Habitat preferences: Bald eagles prefer to roost in tall trees near bodies of water, while golden eagles prefer to roost on cliff ledges or in large trees in mountainous areas.

* Hunting strategies: Bald eagles are opportunistic hunters that primarily feed on fish, while golden eagles are more specialized hunters that primarily feed on small mammals.

So, while it is possible for bald and golden eagles to roost in the same area, it is not common.
