Does a harpy eagle get eaten by other animals?
Harpy eagles (Harpia harpyja) are apex predators and top of the food chain. This means that they do not have any natural predators aside from humans due to their enormous size and extraordinary flying abilities. Harpy eagles, in turn, hunt on larger birds , monkeys, sloths and some small-to-medium mammals in its habitat to keep the lower animal population in check in the ecosystem for overall survival or balance.
