How to Increase the Humidity Level in a GQF Incubator

Developing embryos need certain amounts of humidity to properly develop. The GQF Incubator can produce an environment with different levels of humidity. Using a hygrometer to determine humidity will give more accurate results than intuition. It is better to have less humidity than too much humidity during the majority of the incubation period. Only during the last couple days of incubation should the humidity level in the incubator be increased.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the hygrometer in the operating incubator to find the current humidity.

    • 2

Fill more of the channels on the bottom of the incubator with water to increase the humidity in the incubator. For a basic hatch, only the center channel should be used during most of the incubation period. In the last couple days of the incubation, a second channel should be filled with water to increase the humidity level in the GQF incubator.

    • 3

Check the hygrometer to determine the corresponding increase in humidity.
