What do the geese in Animal Farm represent?
In George Orwell's Animal Farm, the geese represent the intellectual elite of the farm, the ones who are aware of the corruption and injustices of the revolutionary regime and have the potential to rebel against it. The geese are characterised as being clever and insightful, and they are constantly questioning and challenging the authority of the pigs, the leaders of the farm. However, they also lack the courage and organisation to take action and change things, which ultimately leads to their persecution and murder.
