Infertility
Finch eggs can be infertile for a number of reasons, including:
* The male finch was not fertile.
* The eggs were not properly fertilized.
* The eggs were damaged during laying.
Incubation
Finch eggs need to be incubated at a constant temperature and humidity in order to hatch. If the eggs are too cold, too hot, or too dry, they will not hatch. The ideal incubation temperature for finch eggs is between 99 and 102 degrees Fahrenheit, and the ideal humidity is between 55 and 65%.
Troubleshooting
If your finch eggs do not hatch after three weeks, you can try to troubleshoot the problem by checking the following:
* The fertility of the male finch.
* The condition of the eggs.
* The incubation temperature and humidity.
If you are still unable to get the eggs to hatch, you may want to consult with a veterinarian or an experienced bird breeder.
