Things You'll Need
- Incubator
- Water sprayer
- Thermometer
Instructions
Store the goose eggs you intend to hatch for no more than a week at 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Set up your incubator in accordance with the directions provided by the manufacturer.
Set the incubator to 99.5 degrees F, and set the humidity level between 86 and 88 degrees F. Check the temperature by placing the thermometer halfway between the top of the incubator and the eggs.
Turn the eggs at least four times a day for the first week. Draw a line on the side of each egg and rotate it so that the line is either on top or on the bottom. Do not rotate the eggs after day 32.
Spray the eggs with room-temperature water daily between days seven and 25. This will help the eggs retain water in the membranes.
Allow the eggs to incubate for 35 days. Incubation times may vary depending upon temperature variance or the age of the eggs.
Remove eggs from the automatic turners on day 32, if you have a turning mechanism in the incubator.
