Do bees fly over the ocean?
No. Bees cannot fly far enough to cross an entire ocean and therefore cannot be found on every continent or island in the world. Bees typically fly shorter distances and only cover an area roughly twice their wingspan at any given time. For some honeybee species, that means a foraging range of one to three miles maximum. Most are not strong enough flyers to even travel several miles over open terrain, where strong wind currents easily blow them off course.
