What does a ducks beak look like?
A duck's beak is typically broad, flat, and wide at the tip. It may be either hard or soft, depending on the type of duck. The top of the duck's beak is called the upper mandible, while the bottom is called the lower mandible. The mandible is usually movable and is covered with a layer of hard keratin, the same material that makes up human fingernails. The upper mandible often extends over the lower mandible and curves downward at the tip. The edges of the duck's beak are usually serrated, allowing the duck to filter water and trap food particles.
