What birds pollinate?

Birds that feed on nectar play an important role in the pollination of plants, including hummingbirds, sunbirds, honeyeaters, and some parrots and flowerpeckers. Other avian pollinators include:

- Hawaiian honeycreepers: These birds are endemic to Hawaii and have evolved specialized beaks and tongues for feeding on nectar.

- Nectar-feeding bats: Although not birds, nectar-feeding bats are also crucial pollinators in certain regions.

It's important to note that not all birds engage in pollination. However, the species mentioned above have specific adaptations that allow them to contribute to the reproduction of plants.
