How do doves protect themselves from danger?

Doves use a variety of strategies to protect themselves from danger:

Camouflage: Many doves have feathers that blend in with their natural surroundings, helping them to camouflage themselves from predators.

Fast Flight: Doves are fast flyers and can often outmaneuver predators in the air.

Flock Behavior: Doves form large flocks with hundreds or thousands of other pigeons. While there is relative safety of being on flock and thus decreasing the possibility of attack by a predator at any particular bird. Predators would most likely be unable to chase and catch hundreds of birds at once

Vigilance: Doves are vigilant creatures and are constantly looking out for potential threats.

Nest-building: Doves build secure nests in sheltered areas to lay their eggs and protect their young.

Parental Care: Both male and female doves take turns to incubate the eggs and feed the chicks, thus providing constant protection at the nest to young.
