What does it mean when my African grey parrot makes spitting noises?

African Grey Parrots make several different noises, and they can be quite vocal at times.

If your parrot is:

- Producing spitting sounds repeatedly, it could be a sign that it is feeling nervous or threatened and is trying to warn you to leave it alone.

-If it is spitting loudly combined with bobbing of the head and swaying from side to side may indicate that it is ready to attack because it feels seriously threatened.

-If it is a solitary sound in between chatters, it could indicate that it is content.
