What shape is a beak?
Beaks have different shapes depending on the bird species. Some beaks are hooked, some are long, and some are short. Generally speaking, beaks can be described as conical (cone-shaped), hooked (curved at the tip), chisel-shaped (flat and straight), or decurved (curved downwards). Other shapes include serrated (toothed), crossed (the upper mandible crosses the lower mandible), and spoon-shaped (broad and flat).
