Why do pigeons attack their young?

Pigeons, unlike some other bird species, generally care for their young and do not show any aggressive behavior toward them. In fact, both male and female pigeons take turns keeping the eggs warm and feeding the offspring until they are capable of flying and searching for food independently. If you have come across an instance where you might assume pigeons show hostile or aggressive behavior to their hatchlings, the pigeons might be suffering from some environmental conditions affecting their well-being, or something might even be harming the babies themselves.
