What are clay pigeons?

Clay pigeons are small, disc-shaped targets used in the sport of clay pigeon shooting. They are made of a mixture of clay and pitch, and are about 110 millimetres (4.3 in) in diameter and 25 millimetres (0.98 in) thick. Clay pigeons are launched into the air by a trap machine, and are then shot at by the shooter using a shotgun.

The object of the game is to break the clay pigeon into as many pieces as possible. The shooter is given two shots at each clay pigeon, and is awarded points based on the number of pieces the target breaks. The winner of the game is the shooter who has accumulated the most points at the end of the round.

Clay pigeon shooting is a popular sport, and is enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. It is a great way to improve your shooting skills, and is also a lot of fun.
