How do peacocks react when someone is on their territory?

Peacocks are territorial birds and they may react to the presence of someone on their territory in several ways:

- Display: Peacocks may fan out their tail feathers and display them to make themselves appear larger and more intimidating.

- Call: They may emit loud, piercing calls to signal their presence and deter intruders.

- Threat display: Peacocks may engage in aggressive behavior like stamping their feet, spreading their wings and lunging at the intruder to warn them to leave.

- Attack: if they perceive a significant threat, peacocks may attack by pecking, kicking or using their sharp spurs on their legs.

However, peacocks may also act curious and approach humans cautiously, but they tend to avoid direct confrontation or physical attacks unless they feel cornered or threatened.
