What sound do bats make?
Bats produce high-frequency sounds called "ultrasonic vocalizations" or "echolocation calls" that humans can't hear. These sounds are typically much higher than the upper limit of human hearing, which is around 20,000 Hz. Bats emit ultrasonic calls, which are beyond the human hearing range, and then interpret the returning echoes to navigate and locate prey. Some bat species produce calls with frequencies that can reach around 120,000 Hz.
