What are nine intelligences?

Howard Gardner's nine intelligences:

1. Linguistic intelligence - the ability to use language effectively, both verbally and in writing.

2. Logical-mathematical intelligence - the ability to reason, analyze, and solve problems.

3. Musical intelligence - the ability to perceive, appreciate, and create music.

4. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence - the ability to control and coordinate body movements, as well as to express oneself physically.

5. Spatial intelligence - the ability to perceive and manipulate the spatial relationships between objects.

6. Interpersonal intelligence - the ability to understand and interact effectively with others.

7. Intrapersonal intelligence - the ability to understand oneself and one's own emotions.

8. Naturalistic intelligence - the ability to understand and interact with the natural environment.

9. Existential intelligence - the ability to reflect on and understand the meaning of life.
