When do parrots sleep?

Parrots sleep at night, just like most other birds. They are diurnal animals, which means that they are active during the day and sleep at night. Different parrot species may have different sleep patterns. Most parrot species sleep for about 10-12 hours a night, but some species may sleep for up to 18 hours. Parrots usually sleep in a sheltered spot, such as a tree hollow or a nest box. They may also sleep in a group, huddled together for warmth. Parrots typically sleep in a "head tuck" position, with their head tucked under their wing.
