Are King quail noisy or silent?

King quail are generally quiet birds, but they do make some noise. Their most common call is a high-pitched, trilling sound that is often repeated several times in a row. They also make a variety of other sounds, including a soft, clucking sound, a low, guttural sound, and a high-pitched, piping sound. King quail are not typically considered to be noisy birds, but they can be if they are kept in a small space or if they are disturbed.
