What do quails look like?

Quails are small, ground-dwelling birds found in many parts of the world. They have short, rounded wings and long tails. Quails vary in size, with the smallest species being the buttonquail, which is about 4 inches long, and the largest species being the crested francolin, which can be up to 18 inches long.

Quails have a variety of colors and patterns, but they are typically brown, gray, or black with white or buff markings. Some species also have crests or feathers that can be raised or lowered.

Quails are omnivores and eat a variety of foods, including seeds, fruits, insects, and small animals. They are also very social birds and often live in flocks. Quails are found in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, forests, and deserts.
