The Eagles were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The Eagles were one of the most successful American bands of the 1970s, releasing six studio albums, all of which were certified multi-platinum. The band sold over 150 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
The Eagles were nominated for six Grammy Awards, and won four, including Album of the Year for Hotel California (1976). The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
