A Flock of Seagulls was formed in Liverpool, England in 1979. The band's original lineup consisted of lead singer Mike Score, guitarist Ali Score, bassist Frank Maudsley, and drummer David "Davy" Johnson. The group rose to fame quickly with their debut single "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" and their debut album _A Flock of Seagulls_ (1982), which sold more than two million copies worldwide.
The band's second album, _Listen_ (1983), was also successful and featured the hit single "Space Age Love Song". However, A Flock of Seagulls began to decline in popularity in the late 1980s. The band released several more albums, but none were as successful as their first two efforts.
In the 1990s, A Flock of Seagulls broke up. However, the band reunited in 2004 and has continued to tour and perform. The group's current lineup features lead singer Mike Score, guitarist Ali Score, and drummer Mark Dawson.
